About The Position

Balanced Body is growing and seeking a self-motivated, multi-tasking individual with the right attitude to lead, mentor, and coach employees as a Crew Leader in their manufacturing operations. This role involves providing direction and leadership to a team, working closely with a supervisor to define and meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals, and ensuring the team has the necessary training, tools, and resources. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for Lean Manufacturing. This position requires observing, correcting, coaching, disciplining, working on the production line, and making difficult decisions while responding to challenging situations. The Crew Leader will also have the satisfaction of watching their team grow and develop, with support from their Supervisor, Manager, and HR.

Requirements

  • At least three years in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacture and 5s standards.
  • Strong attendance record.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.
  • Maintain and organize a clean work area.
  • Knowledge of MS office is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Active listening skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to methodically, strategically and collaboratively make decisions, solve problems and foster innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze system (Business Central "BC") requirements and ensure team accomplishes daily production planning, ensuring completions in BC are done correctly.
  • Participate in daily production cell activities.
  • Maintain inventory in assigned departments and conduct regular audits.
  • Facilitate inventory audits with department supervisors.
  • Provide support with processing orders with the purchasing department.
  • Train new employees.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide leadership to employees, including growth development, corrective actions, and reviews.
  • Maintain and follow all safety guidelines/procedures/activities throughout the production floor and participate in safety meetings/trainings.
  • Ensure maintenance team tools meet operational and safety protocols.
  • Adapt effectively and efficiently to production changes and guide the team to do the same.
  • Improve production performance while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Participate in interviewing, evaluating, and making recommendations on candidates.
  • Promote a positive environment by motivating the team.
