About The Position

A Production Cook at American Dining Creations will cook meals in large quantities according to menu, recipes, and number of portions to be served, including batch cooking. The role involves preparing high-quality meals for distribution throughout the local school system, measuring, weighing, and preparing ingredients, and operating industrial equipment. The cook will also be responsible for organizing stock, following safety and nutrition guidelines, maintaining a clean workspace, recording data, and cleaning up at the end of each shift. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Food Service Certificate or Food Handlers Permit
Knowledge of kitchen safety procedures and safe use of knives/knife skills.
Time management skills, team and task focused in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to understand written and verbal communications effectively.
Ability to understand and meet set standards for health and safety by remaining alert and focused.
Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and thorough.
Will be required to work in an environment with frequent periods of moderate to loud noise.
Must be able to lift 50lbs, push and pull, bend, climb stairs, stand, and walk for entire scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

Prepare high quality meals in large quantities to be distributed throughout the local school system.
Measuring, weighing, and preparing ingredients according to recipes and production orders.
Operating industrial equipment such as tilt skillets and ovens to make food.
Organize stock by rotating, labeling and properly storing inventory, noting when stock is low.
Follow safety, quality, and nutrition guidelines to ensure standards are met.
Maintain an organized workspace by cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work surfaces before and after each batch.
Record data such as food waste and temperature logs.
Cleaning up at the end of each shift to prepare for the next day’s production including dishes and taking out trash.
May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed.
