About The Position

The Production Cook prepares food for the Food Court at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa, following recipes and portion-control standards to deliver high-quality dishes with appropriate flavor and presentation. The role supports a fast-paced kitchen by preparing required daily quantities, maintaining product quality and storage, and keeping kitchen stations, equipment, and tools clean. The cook also helps maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment and performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of culinary arts, characteristics of multiple cuisines, food science, and nutrition; ability to prepare and cook appealing food.
Knowledge of effective listening issues and techniques; ability to gather, clarify, and apply verbally transmitted information while showing genuine interest in the speaker.
Knowledge of food safety and foodborne illness; ability to develop, implement, and carry out sanitary and safe food and beverage handling practices.
Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Prepares food for the assigned venue.
Follows standards for preparation, portioning, cooking, and presentation of menu items.
Ensures food quality and proper presentation.
Maintains portion control, follows recipes, and prepares food products on time.
Prepares daily quantities of food as instructed by the Chef.
Stores and maintains products properly in coolers, holding cabinets, and other areas to prevent waste and spoilage.
Maintains cleanliness standards for kitchen operations, equipment, and tools.
Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment.
Promotes the Big Six and encourages a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean, and safe environment.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
