About The Position

Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and basic physical; have the ability to work full-time, 40+ hours per week. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 7am-3pm. Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, Bodycote deems this position to be safety-sensitive. Based in Mooresville, NC the Production Control will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Plant Manager to meet customer specifications including assisting other employees as needed.

Requirements

  • This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders
  • Education – High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of computer applications including Microsoft Office and databases is required

  • May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends

Responsibilities

  • Review customer PO’s and ensure all necessary paperwork is correct for processing.
  • Work with customer to resolve any PO issues.
  • Enter jobs into JOP system (selecting cycle/ unit/ parameters/ etc.) as appropriate.
  • Perform costing/ invoicing for all jobs processed in facility.
  • Create and issue credit memos as needed.
  • Create customer Certifications as needed.
  • Provide customer service for customers.
  • Assist Production Supervisor with day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Assist Sales department with monthly reports and customer inquiries within the ERP system.
  • Send order conformations for customer Purchase Orders.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or instructed.
  • Ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate.
  • Arrange for shipping of completed orders to customers.
  • Follow the established work procedures and control measures (including the use of PPE where issued) and any applicable SHE rules
  • Promotes safety and good housekeeping practices
  • Must work in a manner consistent with the EMS
  • Report SHE incidents including near misses and unsafe acts / conditions immediately
  • Suggest areas for improvement to their manager
  • Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism
