About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Production Control Team Manager to support the US Navy in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves the direct operational management of multiple and concurrent programs to meet established business standards and contractual requirements. The manager will support internal/external customers and development teams to define manufacturing requirements and plans, provide input to processes, standards, and operational plans, and offer hands-on Subject Matter Expertise in program execution. Responsibilities include monitoring and directing matrixed staff operations, reviewing work products for completeness and compliance, managing program deliverables for on-time delivery and quality, leveraging current programs to expand scope and establish new business, providing regular program status updates, and generating labor and material estimates for new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with nine (9) years of prior relevant experience in Electronics manufacturing or Depot Repair.
  • Ability to multi-task, interact, and succeed with multiple customers and stakeholders with varying expectations and requirements.
  • Manage and organize complicated and diverse scopes of work to ensure successful program execution.
  • Demonstrable and extensive experience with MS Office tools, particularly Excel.
  • Four (4+) plus years of team management experience.
  • Hands-on technical experience with Configuration Management, and Enterprise Resource database management systems, interface tools, and reporting.
  • U.S Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering or other technical degrees are a plus.
  • Additional years’ experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Avionics manufacturing / Repair process (PCBAs, Cables, Electro-Mechanical Assemblies)
  • 12-15 years Naval Aviation Experience (Senior Enlisted)
  • Experience working in a mid to high volume environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the direct operational management of multiple and concurrent programs to meet established business standards and contractual requirements.
  • Assist with the support of internal/external customers and our development teams to help define manufacturing requirements and plans.
  • Provide input to processes, standards, and operational plans to implement organizational strategies.
  • Provide hands-on Subject Matter Expertise in all facets of the program execution.
  • Monitor and direct matrixed staff operations.
  • Reviews work products for completeness and compliance with customer requirements across all operational tasks.
  • Assist with the Management of all programs required deliverables to on-time delivery at required quality levels.
  • Leverage current programs and customer relationships to expand Scope of Work Requirements and establish new business.
  • Provide regular program status updates and reports to customers and organizational managers.
  • Provide labor and material estimates for new business opportunities.
  • Provide consolidated program labor requirements, and consolidated work product demand forecast reports.
