Leidos currently has an opening for a Production Control Planner to work in our new Ladson, SC manufacturing facility. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. Our new Ladson, SC manufacturing facility will produce a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers. These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world. The Production Control Planner plays a vital role within the organization and will be accountable for a variety of task. This position will report to the Production Control Manager but work closely with other functional teams to plan and prioritize the execution of production activities. In conjunction with other cross functional teams, the planner will plan, control, and maintain master schedule through the on-time completion of manufacturing orders (MO’s). This role will also assist with investigating aging MO report, monitor bulk material levels, submit request for floor supplies, and convey production shortages as required. To be successful in this role, this person must have a good comprehension of the supply chain and manufacturing process along with being detail oriented, highly organized, and an excellent communicator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or master’s degree with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. May consider additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required)
  • Experience in manufacturing, project management or supply chain environment
  • Experience with a MRP tool (preferably Costpoint)
  • Advanced experience utilizing all MS applications with an emphasis on Excel

Responsibilities

  • Plan, control, and maintain manufacturing orders (MO’s) throughout the production process
  • Plan and organize the flow of material to meet production schedules
  • Partner with production management to develop build plans to meet master schedule
  • Work with internal stakeholders to track, prioritize, and drive material shortages to resolution
  • Identifies schedule risk and deploys mitigation steps
  • Participates in defective material review as a member of Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Convey build status and on-time delivery (OTD) to master schedule
  • Maintain reports such aging manufacturing orders (MO’s), production supply levels, and material shortages
  • Monitor bill of material for end of life (EOL) and coordinate engineering change orders (ECO) as needed
  • Enter purchase requisition as required to maintain production supply levels
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support production and operational needs.
