About The Position

Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering. The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations. This position will support Sustainment and Site Operations as a Fabrication Business Unit Integrator and will be responsible for managing the flow of materials and orders to Operations. The individual selected for this position will interact with the Operations leadership staff as well as Global Supply Chain to ensure material availability to support schedule. They will prioritize constraints and drive accountability to those constraints with associated support functions to enable Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years experience in production control, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, logistics, or material management
  • Ability to analyze operational data and communicate insights, including experience with spreadsheets (Excel or equivalent), basic reporting or data tracking

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or coursework exposure to ERP or MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Costpoint or similar tools)
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lookups)
  • Yellow or Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma
  • Demonstrated ability to identify constraints, assess tradeoffs, and recommend solutions
  • Written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness take ownership of problems through resolution
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing or production environments, including scheduling, material flow, work-in-process, or shop floor operations
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
