About The Position

Greer Stop Nut, located in Nashville, TN is a leading provider of specialty locking fasteners used in aerospace, military, and industrial applications and is proud to be part of the Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) global family of manufacturing facilities. Our Manufacturing Plant is seeking an experienced Production Control Coordinator to support our Freight and Distribution area. At Greer Stop Nut, the Production Control Coordinator has a number of key responsibilities that will be performed daily, all centered around ensuring our customers receive their high quality products on time and as expected. Candidates for this role should be available to work a Day Shift Schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday , with some Overtime opportunities available. Good attendance is critical for this role.

Requirements

  • High School/GED, advanced education level is preferred
  • Two or more years of prior experience coordinating freight shipments in a Manufacturing or Distribution Center.
  • Strong computer skills with careful attention to the accuracy of data
  • Two or more years of previous Forklift and material handling experience
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds from knee to chest regularly throughout the day
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process Shipping documents, such as packing slips, bills of lading, purchase orders, etc.
  • Track all shipments
  • Input data into company ERP system, ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Coordinate shipments with various shipping carriers, Logistics handlers, or other transportation partners
  • Accepting and documenting incoming packages and deliveries, and routing those items to the appropriate designated areas
  • Verifying Outgoing/Incoming items and quantities against documents
  • Utilize FedEx and UPS shipping software for ground shipments.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment, such as Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, and other material moving and material handling devices
  • Secure product in boxes and correctly load and prepare pallets for shipment
  • Load and Unload trucks
  • Assemble production documents as directed
  • Scan and file work orders into company systems and storage cabinets
  • Perform other duties as assigned
