About The Position

The Production Control Clerk must have a comprehensive knowledge of the applicable supply and maintenance management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective execution of the function. The Production Control Clerk must possess operational skill and knowledge of the automated supply systems utilized. This position compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production. The Clerk calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets. Additional tasks include: writing production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats, maintaining files of documents used and prepared, compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products. This Clerk prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities, compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel. This Clerk also sorts and distributes work tickets or material and may compute wages from employee time cards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; however, equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted.
  • 2-3 years production control experience.
  • Must have GCSS-A experience.
  • Must have the ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain/maintain a CAC.
  • Must have the ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
  • GCSS-A Certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Must have a real ID.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must be able to obtain Tier1/ NACI (Public trust) background eligibility.
  • Basic proficiency in the English language (reading and writing).
  • Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.
  • Must be able to travel within the United States as required. This position may require up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Army systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
  • Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and reports for daily, weekly, and monthly activity.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate and compliant material records.
  • Write production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats.
  • Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
  • Compile detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products.
  • Sort and distribute work tickets or material.
  • Compute wages from employee timecards and post data on records used for preparation of payroll.
  • Monitor equipment requiring maintenance by creating evacuation work orders, coordinating the transfer of equipment to the repair shop, and ensuring proper receipt once repairs are completed.
