About The Position

We're looking for a Production Control Clerk to join our weekend team! The schedule for this position is Friday-Sunday, 5 AM-5:30 PM. This role involves developing and maintaining records on product shipment and presenting production activities. You will review stock records, material requirements, and future production schedules to determine if on-hand materials are sufficient to complete production on schedule. You will also execute orders authorized in the MPS, gather information and prepare shop packets, and verify materials and tooling equipment availability in collaboration with the production planner. Key responsibilities include scanning closed work orders, running work orders through tollgate one, ensuring resource availability, and communicating with the production planner about late work orders. You will monitor and control work-in-process, lead-time, and queues, monitor start and completion dates, and provide information on work-in-process inventories. Additionally, you will close completed work orders, perform inventory at the end of job completion, control inventory accuracy in the cage, and conduct monthly inventory in the production area. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Computer Skills including Microsoft Suite/Outlook
  • 2-5 years’ applicable experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • US citizenship is a requirement for this position due to U.S. Government contractual requirements.
  • Candidates must either be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) or be prepared to collaborate with the company in securing the necessary U.S. government export authorizations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain records on product shipment and present production activities.
  • Review stock records, material requirements and future production schedules to determine if on-hand materials are sufficient to complete production on schedule.
  • Execute the orders authorized in the MPS.
  • Gather information and prepare shop packets.
  • Verify materials and tooling equipment are available in collaboration with the production planner.
  • Scan closed work orders and run work orders thru tollgate one.
  • Ensure availability of these resources when needed; collaborate with the production planner to identify shortages.
  • Run work order release report daily.
  • Communicate to production planner work orders releasing late.
  • Monitor/control work-in-process, lead-time, and queues in collaboration with team lead; monitor start and completion dates for each work order, communicating with the production planner on work orders with late production start dates to determine updated schedule to meet customer demands.
  • Provide information on work-in-process inventories to drive appropriate levels set by inventory policy.
  • Close completed work orders and perform inventory at the end of job completion; control inventory accuracy in the cage.
  • Conduct monthly inventory in production area (shelf life), work-in-process, closed jobs etc.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
