About The Position

This SkillBridge opportunity is with Raytheon, a part of RTX Corporation, which recognizes the exceptional skills, dedication, and leadership that transitioning military service members bring to the workforce. This role involves managing a high visibility, high mix area, including material availability analysis, tracking, and reporting, as well as managing kit readiness by working with cross-functional teams. The position also provides production floor support, including replacement part management, shop floor material staging, WIP movement, completion of units in the shop floor and MRP system, delivery to the next step, and meeting MRP schedules. As a SkillBridge participant, you will not be an RTX employee and will remain under the administrative control of your military chain of command. Therefore, you will not receive any form of compensation or employee benefits such as health benefits, holiday pay, vacation pay, sick leave, and retirement benefits.

Requirements

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
Experience to include planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, finance, project management or a related field.
Active and transferable Confidential clearance level required at time of application
U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a higher clearance level or program access prior to start date.
Must be on Active-Duty orders in the U.S. Armed Forces
Must be eligible to participate per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with MRP, Special Program Access applications
Experience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as Kanban, SMI, Continuous Flow Manufacturing
Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook/Zoom

Responsibilities

Managing a high visibility, high mix area Material Availability Analysis, Tracking, and Reporting.
Manage Kit Readiness including working with cross-functional team in BOM, Material Master, Process Engineering, Operations, and Document Control
Provide production floor support including replacement part management, shop floor material staging, Work in Progress (WIP) movement through shared resource areas, completion of units in shop floor and MRP system, delivery to next step (inventory or shipment), and meeting MRP schedule.
