About The Position

Under general supervision, this position serves as the primary on-site field lead for contractor crews performing construction, maintenance, and repair of various production facilities including flow lines, gathering lines, tanks, vessels, pumping units, wellheads, electrical infrastructure, roads, and well pads. The role involves coordinating with multiple internal groups to plan and execute facility layout, preparing daily cost tracking sheets, conducting Pre-Start Safety Reviews (PSSR), assisting with procurement and installation planning, and developing/enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The goal is to minimize downtime from well spud to first production, ensure proper documentation and labeling of piping, and provide feedback for continuous improvement. The position also assists in commissioning new production facilities and serves as a field-level subject matter expert during initial start-up activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three (3) years of directly related oil and gas field construction, production operations or a comparable industrial/field environment experience.
  • Demonstrates a high level of safety consciousness. Able to recognize field hazards, apply safety processes and ensure all contractors comply with Company and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas production facility construction, including flow lines, gathering systems, tanks, vessels, wellheads and associated infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of applicable pipe codes, welding codes and regulatory requirements to ensure facilities are built at or above industry standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) for cost tracking, daily reporting, documentation and inventory management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Drilling, Completion, Civil, E&I and Safety groups to align on project timelines, equipment needs and design requirements.
  • Ability to direct, evaluate and hold accountable field contractor personnel to performance, quality and safety standards on active work sites.
  • Able to speak, listen and write clearly and concisely. Capable of conveying field conditions, project status and operational needs to management.
  • Skilled in setting priorities, building work schedules, tracking job progress and managing multiple concurrent construction activities across a pad.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess field situations for urgency and risk; make sound and timely decisions in the best interests of safety and operational continuity.
  • Comfortable operating independently in the field and engaging with diverse personalities ranging from contractors to engineers and management.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site field lead for contractor crews performing construction, maintenance and repair of flow lines, gathering lines, tanks and vessels, pumping units, wellheads, electrical infrastructure, roads and well pads.
  • Coordinate directly with Drilling, Completion, Civil and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) groups to plan and execute proper equipment spacing and facility layout from Simultaneous Operations (SIMOP) through permanent production phase.
  • Prepare and maintain daily cost tracking sheets to monitor job progress, evaluate crew efficiency and apply lessons learned to future facility planning and budgeting.
  • Conduct Pre-Start Safety Reviews (PSSR) upon pad completion to audit site readiness and verify all systems are complete before introducing oil and gas to the production facility.
  • Assist with procurement coordination and installation planning for production facilities by communicating inventory needs to engineers and ensuring accurate data entry into the inventory tracking system from yard to pad.
  • Help develop, implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the safe construction and commissioning of facilities and pads, in collaboration with the Safety group.
  • Minimize days from well spud to first production by proactively identifying installation opportunities and coordinating contractor scheduling in alignment with Rig release and Midstream offtake requirements.
  • Ensure all main piping is properly labeled and documented in compliance with Safety standards, enabling operators to identify and trace gas, oil and water lines during troubleshooting or emergency response.
  • Provide feedback to the Production Construction Supervisor on start-up observations, potential hazards and design improvements to drive continuous improvement in facility construction.
  • Assist in commissioning new production facilities alongside Lead Operators, serving as a field-level subject matter resource during initial start-up activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
