About The Position

Prepare, lay out, and install carpet, carpet pad, and snap-lock flooring in accordance with required specifications. The role involves working from blueprints and production orders to accurately lay out and build products, and performing flooring-related preparation and finishing tasks in a modular-home manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• Ability to understand blueprints and production orders and accurately lay out and build products from them.
• Ability to use staple and nail guns, power tools, hand tools, measuring devices, and other job-specific equipment.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, lay out, and install carpet and carpet pad in homes.
• Understand blueprints and production orders and accurately lay out and build products from them.
• Use staple and nail guns, power tools, hand tools, measuring devices, and other equipment required for the job.
• Install heat registers and cover carpet with plastic.
• Install door stops, wall type, and hinge mount.
• Verify concept quotes and specifications for snap-lock flooring.
• Remove wall vents, floor registers, and vent plugs and return them to the box.
• Remove patio door side jambs and label them Left and Right.
• Scrape the entire floor and sweep.
