Production Clothing Associate
About The Position
Help Create Life Change Through Second Chances At New Horizons Thrift Stores, our cause is to help create life change through second chances, one purchase, one life at a time. As a Production Clothing Associate, you’ll be a part of that mission by sorting, cleaning, pricing, and preparing donated items for resale and keeping the work area organized and clean. Staff are expected to uphold and actively support the vision of New Horizons Thrift Stores as communicated by Thrift Store Management and your immediate supervisor. Through collaboration and teamwork, you will help carry out this vision within your area of responsibility and influence. Additional tasks may be assigned at times by your supervisor. Consideration will be given to your current workload and duties.
Requirements
- Basic Skills Active Listening- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Speaking- Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Social Skills Coordination- Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
- Service Orientation- Actively looking for ways to help people.
- No prior experience or training is required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare donated items for resale.
- Sort incoming used items by condition
- Clean items using designated tools and methods
- Perform basic touch ups or repairs when needed
- Organize and price cleaned inventory for resale. (occasionally, as needed on the team)
- Follow safety and cleanliness standards to maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
