About The Position

This role is for a Production Associate, specifically an Entry Utility position, operating on the 2nd or 3rd shift only. The plant operates 24/5 with 8-12 hour shifts, and employees must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed. Initially, the role is hired as a temporary employee via a staffing service during a 90-day probationary period, during which the pay rate is $17.00/hour. After successful completion of the probationary period, the pay rate increases to $23.72 per hour, with a potential shift differential.

Requirements

3-6 months hands on Industrial Plant manufacturing experience
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
The ability to accurately read a tape measurer and ruler
The ability to use basic shop math
The ability to learn
The ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team

Nice To Haves

Corrugated industry experience preferred
Sit down Forklift/pull pack experience preferred

Responsibilities

Safely run machines and follow all safety rules and practices at all times
Count and stack finished product
Learn customer requirements and specifications by reading factory work orders, print cards, and design specifications
Utilize basic shop math
Accurately read tape measures, gauges and other test equipment
Coordinate activities with other machine crew members to efficiently set up and run orders
Maintain quality and production standards as required by the company
Continually monitor the quality and quantity of production
Maintain housekeeping continually during the assigned shift
Perform quality inspections and tests, and record findings
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
