Production Associate - Day Shift

About The Position
Quanex is looking for a few Production Associates to join our Day Shift team located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. In this role, you are responsible for performing assigned production functions (loading, unloading, stacking blanks of wood) in a safe manner to consistently meet production standards and quality requirements. This position offers a competitive starting wage of $17.00/hour and a work schedule of Tuesday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with potential overtime on Mondays and Saturdays and Sundays off.
Requirements
- Manual/finger dexterity skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive work.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned production functions (loading, unloading, stacking blanks of wood) in a safe manner to consistently meet production standards and quality requirements.
- Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines and identify any existing or potential safety issues.
- Attend work on time and for scheduled hours each day.
- Receive direction from and notify the supervisor/team lead when more work is needed.
- Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
- Maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards.
