We are also the exclusive distributor of Italy's finest Rio Mare, Lavazza and San Benedetto products in Canada. We are hiring a Production Associate at our Sofina plant in Belleville, ON. Rate: $18.75 Shift: Starts at 5:30am Overtime opportunities Full time Permanent The Production Associate prepares meat products by weighing, seasoning, vacuum sealing, and pressing pots. They ensure proper temperature monitoring, operate relevant equipment, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

Requirements

Good English communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Basic math skills for weighing and measuring products.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
Proficient in using spreadsheets and checklists for documentation.
Ability to identify and address issues that arise during production.
Willingness to learn new skills
Capability to assemble and disassemble machinery and operate production equipment.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in food production or processing is a plus, particularly in injection or marination processes.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-operation inspection and checklist for the work area
Deliver meat to the potting or stuffing table from the cooler
Weigh product injected ham accurately using the scaled provided
Add spices as per work order
Place product in pots and vacuum seal
Press pots to lock in place
Place pots or stuffed hams on carts
Spring roasted hams as required
Monitor temperatures using a temperature probe and completion of daily temperature tracking sheet
Operates VC99 vacuum, ham presses, and tote tilters
Perform other tasks as required by the supervisor and/or Lead Hand
