About The Position

Superior Glove is a family-owned company with over 100 years in designing and manufacturing innovative hand protection for every major hazard. With locations in Canada, the USA, Mexico, and Honduras, we're committed to improving occupational hand protection through innovation. We are seeking a full-time permanent Production Associate for our Afternoons and midnight shifts out of our Springdale NL facility. Candidates must be able to follow standard operating procedures and perform required quality checks to ensure products meet established specifications and quality standards. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or issues are essential, along with the ability to make necessary corrections. Reporting to the Production Team Leader, the Production Associate is responsible for completing various roles in the manufacturing process including filling orders accurately and efficiently, attending production machinery / equipment, etc. This individual is also responsible for product preparation, finishing, quality assurance, and other duties as required that provide support to the Production Team.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing / distribution environment is preferred; on the job training will be provided
• High school Diploma / GED
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to lift up to 35lbs, have strong wrists and hands and comfortable in a fast-paced processing environment.
• Capable of performing detailed work and comfortable with the variety of physical demands including long periods of standing

• Embroidery experience
• Strong hand-eye coordination

Responsibilities

• Use of production/ manufacturing equipment and manually finishing products, example sewing, shrink wrapping gloves, silicone application, dotting, etc.
• Responsible for general upkeep of each workstation and working in a safe manner, complying with safety and procedural regulations.
• Conduct necessary checks on the product to ensure quality.
• Must be willing to be crossed trained in all aspects of production work, sewing, working in the clean room, etc.
• Verify orders and ensure accurate labelling
• Packing orders accurately, conducting quality checks and sorting of gloves
• Communicate quality issues as they arise
• Utilize vend-pak machine for individual packaging and/or pack gloves in bags by the dozen with accuracy
• Other duties as assigned
