About The Position

Lakeside Book Company, the largest bookmaker in the United States, is seeking a Production Associate to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring finished books reach readers across the country. Requirements

Ability to lift and carry 20-50 pounds.
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel).
Consistent work experience.
Ability to read and interpret written work which indicates the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions provided.

Nice To Haves

Machine experience preferred, but not required.
Willingness to participate in cross-training, achieving qualified status within the position and assuming responsibility as a back-up to lateral and progressive roles, as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate robots and stackers that collect sections of books coming off printing presses.
Strap book sections together and place them on pallets.
Enter book information into a computer, print labels, and place them on a set of pallets.
Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, to ensure a safe working environment.
