The Production Associate works at presses, assists machine operators, removes parts from press, separates parts from scrap, assembles parts, stacks or packages parts and operates equipment. The role requires following all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment. Regular attendance is essential. The employee works in a team environment, ensuring helpers understand their role, necessary precautions, and the location of emergency stop buttons. They must understand and interpret company work orders and job control procedures, working efficiently and accurately to achieve and maintain 100% of goals. This includes getting or requesting materials, assembling totes, preparing skids, bags, and boxes for packaging. The associate will package a specific number of parts on skids, in bags, boxes, etc., label them, stack bags of parts on racks or in appropriate packaging, and move totes/skids of parts to a storage area or to the next operation. Ensuring safety devices are in place and reporting any unsafe behavior or situation is crucial. The employee must be aware of activities in their working surroundings and responsible for keeping the area clean, tidy, and safe. Other tasks may be assigned by the Leader.
