About The Position

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machinery, ensuring all materials are weighed properly and mixed according to specifications. This role involves monitoring the mixing of stock through various visual and control checks.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • One or more years’ experience in production is desired.
  • Forklift license preferred.
  • Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
  • All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.
  • Regularly required to stand and walk.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit, talk, read, hear and/or smell.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Will periodically climb a ladder.
  • Will frequently go up and down stairs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all guillotine controls.
  • Cut material to specified sizes/weights and identify groups as outlined on mixing instructions.
  • Check metal detector at beginning of each shift and after lunch period.
  • Visually check all material while cutting and stacking for any contamination.
  • Neatly stack cut material appropriately using poly between layers to prevent sticking.
  • Stack waste skids according to size and stack cardboard neatly to go to cardboard baler.
  • Check to ensure all containers are cleaned before using.
  • Check to ensure all old tickets and markings are removed from the containers before using.
  • Assist in the timely and thorough cleanup during changeovers and shutdowns.
  • Keep area and machinery clean.
  • Inform Maintenance of any issues or concerns with equipment.
  • Notify Team Leader of any problems or concerns.
  • Follow Personal protective equipment (PPE) procedures.
  • Safeguard company property.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Uphold the RMA Code of Conduct standards and be aware of the management policy and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader/Supervisor.
