Production Associate - 1st Shift
About The Position
Quanex is looking for a Production Associate - 1st Shift to join our team in Luck, Wisconsin. In this role you are responsible for performing assigned production functions in a safe manner to consistently meet production standards and quality requirements. The salary for this position ranges from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience. There is potential for a pay increase up to $1 after a 90-day performance review if expectations are met or exceeded. The level of each Production Associate is determined by management based on their ability to train others and the number of machines they can operate while meeting production standards and quality requirements. The work schedule is Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 3:30 pm, with potential for overtime on Fridays. Quanex is a global, publicly traded manufacturing company primarily serving OEMs in the fenestration, cabinetry, solar, refrigeration and outdoor products markets.
Requirements
- Ability to use a tape measure preferred.
- At least 6 months of production, assembly, or related work experience preferred.
- Manual finger dexterity skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Displays a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow.

Responsibilities
- Performing assigned production functions in a safe manner to consistently meet production standards and quality requirements.
- Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines.
- Monitors product to ensure quality standards are being met.
- Keeps the work area in a neat and orderly condition in compliance with 5S standards.
- Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly completes production reports and other documentation.
- Promotes teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.
- Assists in other work areas when the workload permits or requires.
