About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a constant flow of product for the area line, assisting with the development of new packing specifications, and ensuring product quality meets specifications. The Production Associate will perform quality inspections, pack windows onto racks using proper glass handling techniques, and use extra safety precautions when necessary. This position also involves supporting Specialists during changeovers, assisting in troubleshooting operation failures, and performing process and product audits. Additionally, the role includes fulfilling housekeeping duties, communicating concerns and improvements, assisting with problem-solving, and training/encouraging others to achieve team goals. The Production Associate must also support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example.

Requirements

• If handling raw glass; place hands on top & side, while wearing cut safe gloves, capes & aprons

Responsibilities

• Must follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain a constant flow of product for the area line
• Assist with the development of new packing specifications
• Ensure product quality meets specifications; perform quality inspections as required
• Pack the windows onto racks using proper glass handling techniques
• Use extra safety precautions when placing into cullet bins or testing for quality measures
• Ensure the Packing Specifications are being followed for each part being packed
• Support Specialists during all changeovers
• Assist in trouble shooting operation failures
• Separate into areas for continued
• Assist with process and product audits according to the work instructions
• Perform 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness
• Communicate concerns, improvements and general information to others on the line
• Assist with problem solving of manufacturing problems within the teams operations and other groups as necessary, to achieve production goals
• Fulfill assignments/ tasks given by coordinators and team leaders
• Train and encourage others in order to achieve team goals
• Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example
• All other duties as assigned
