About The Position

Leonard’s Syrups is a family-owned and operated business that has been in operation since 1964. We are seeking an attentive Production Associate for our Detroit, Michigan location. This role is responsible for ensuring that all equipment involved in the manufacturing process is in good working order and is being used in a safe manner. The Production Associate will also evaluate the quality of end products.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery and equipment: Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery and equipment, including assembly lines, automated systems, and specialized tools. Follow standard operating procedures to maintain safe, efficient operations.
Quality Control: Perform quality checks and inspections on products or materials to ensure they meet established standards. Identify and report any defects or deviations from specifications. Collaborate with the quality control team to resolve issues and maintain product integrity.
Assembly and Production: Assemble components or parts according to specific instructions or blueprints. Follow standardized work procedures to ensure accurate and efficient production. Monitor the production line, troubleshoot problems, and make necessary adjustments to maintain productivity.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure an adequate supply of materials or components for production. Coordinate with the materials management team to restock supplies and handle any discrepancies or shortages.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly. Comply with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations related to production operations.
Documentation and Reporting: Complete production logs, reports, and documentation accurately and timely. Record production data, such as output, downtime, and scrap rates. Provide regular updates on production status to supervisors or managers.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives and suggest ideas to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes or modifications to production processes.
Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with other production associates, supervisors, and team members to achieve production goals. Communicate effectively and promptly regarding any issues, updates, or changes in the production process.
