About The Position

Precision Record Pressing is a leading vinyl record pressing company seeking a Production Associate (QA Auditor) to join their Burlington team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity focused on examining products and materials to ensure they meet customer specifications and company standards. The ideal candidate is positive, energetic, highly motivated, and thrives in a team environment. The position operates on a weekly rotation of day (7am-3pm) and afternoon (3pm-11pm) shifts and is eligible for a shift premium. Candidates must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Requirements

  • 1 year of quality inspection, auditing and testing experience required.
  • Use of proper PPE while performing functions, CSA steel toed safety boots are mandatory.
  • Must be willing to work all shifts & to work overtime as business needs require.
  • Must be able to meet physical demands of the job.
  • Excellent electronic, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to execute good judgement and decision making for the purpose of process improvement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities in a team environment.
  • Ability to use precision tools specific to the job (measuring tools, microscope, audio software).
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel (reading and entering data on spreadsheets) required.

  • Not suitable for candidates with an engineering background.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders and production schedules to ensure conformance to customer specifications.
  • Maintain a constant visual on parts produced by performing visual audits using defined company tolerances and identified customer specifications.
  • Verify labels and colours match work orders.
  • Operate custom audio software to identify audio defects.
  • Load stampers onto audio software.
  • Compare and contrast audio quality of stampers to masters provided.
  • Verify or adjust defects based on results identified from software and listening experience.
  • Save and communicate results of test press to Production staff.
  • Flag and inspect defects immediately as they are identified.
  • Use precision tools to identify issues within grooves of stamper.
  • Document first offs and stamper changes into software database.
  • Report identified defects and product malfunctions to appropriate parties (Production department, Team leader etc.).
  • Work to reduce waste in all forms by accurately and quickly identifying defects.
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency by effectively communicating issues as they are identified.
  • Ensure documentation is completed and is accurate.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned production area at all times.
  • Ensure to work following company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by Team Leader or designate.
