About The Position

Leonard’s Syrups, a family-owned business established in 1964, is seeking an attentive Production Associate for its Detroit, MI location. The company has expanded from manufacturing soda syrups to include related services like installing and servicing bar equipment, soda systems, and supplying CO2. The Production Associate will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing equipment is in good working order and used safely, as well as evaluating the quality of the final products.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery and equipment, including assembly lines, automated systems, and specialized tools, following standard operating procedures for safe and efficient operations.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections on products or materials to ensure they meet established standards, identifying and reporting defects or deviations, and collaborating with the quality control team.
  • Assemble components or parts according to specific instructions or blueprints, following standardized work procedures for accurate and efficient production, and monitoring the production line to troubleshoot and maintain productivity.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, ensure adequate supply of materials or components, coordinate with the materials management team for restocking, and handle discrepancies or shortages.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, report safety concerns or incidents promptly, and comply with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Complete production logs, reports, and documentation accurately and timely, recording production data, and providing regular updates on production status.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, suggest ideas to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes.
  • Work collaboratively with other production associates, supervisors, and team members to achieve production goals, and communicate effectively regarding any issues, updates, or changes.
