About The Position

The Production Associate prepares materials and equipment for assembly, assembles products, and packages products. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment and materials are ready for production, placing raw materials into manufacturing machines, operating equipment for the assembly process, packaging finished products, and organizing them for delivery. The associate will also maintain material and supplies inventory, monitor equipment and production to increase productivity, and process woodchips to assess for and remove any foreign material and debris. A key aspect of this role is to support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s culture of safety and employee ownership, while complying with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Requirements

  • Ability to adhere to company and industry safety requirements
  • Ability to learn quickly and to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to operate various types of equipment, and power tools such as a skid-steer loader, battery operated wire tie gun, etc.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, flexibility, and self-motivated with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment
  • Must be able to communicate with others, including vendors and represent Wright Tree Service in a professional manner
  • Must be able to write, read, and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information
  • Minimum of 1 year of applicable work experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s or commercial driver’s license (dependent upon Division and utility/contract requirements) and DOT medical card in accordance with FMCSA regulations
  • Keeps informed of new equipment and specifications, standards, practices, and operating procedures
