About The Position

The Production Associate position is responsible for assisting mill operators, operating side loaders, and other warehouse duties as assigned. A strong work ethic and adherence to all safety processes is essential. This is a full-time position with the potential of overtime. The shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
  • A minimum of one year operating manufacturing machinery and/or equipment
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment and nail guns
  • Able to use of measuring gauges
  • Able to read a tape measure
  • Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and follows safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environment
  • Safely operating a variety of power tools including electric and pneumatic
  • Banding and clearing all lines and placing products in outside racks
  • Marks part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on parts. Attaches identification tags as required for customer to have the ability locate correct parts.
  • Provide cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste
  • Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area.
  • Inspect work visually for defects according to Quality Systems
  • Read a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedules
  • Team player and keeping safety first
  • May be assigned other projects and duties as designated by Team Leader
  • Willing/able to work overtime
