About The Position

Cummins Clean Fuel Technologies designs and manufactures compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel systems for the heavy-duty truck market. We are looking for the best and brightest to join us in this fast-paced and fast-growing industry! The production technician will be responsible for efficiently operating specialty CNC manufacturing equipment in a production setting, transporting materials in process and performing assembly processes. The technician will be responsible for maintaining quality products and interacting with the operations and engineering teams to improve processes to maximize production volumes and minimize scrapped production due to in-process defects. This position will work 2nd shift. Monday through Friday 4pm- 12:30am.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
• Experienced in production assembly operations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Experience with manual machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and drill presses
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet production schedules.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively with all levels of the organization in both verbal and written forms.
• U.S. Passport Holder or capable of attaining within 60 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• technical degree or certification in machining or manufacturing is preferred
• Assembly/fabrication equipment operation (2+ years)
• Industrial CNC equipment programming (2+ years)
• Six sigma/lean methodologies
• Experience in plastics industry (2+ years)
• Experience in fiberglass repair industry (2+ years)
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• PLC and HMI diagnostic/repair experience is a plus (2+ year).

Responsibilities

• Conduct setups and load materials to perform production operations.
• Monitor production processes and adjust machine settings as needed to ensure consistent quality and efficient production rates.
• Inspect and measure machined parts to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
• Use precision tools and equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to measure and verify dimensions.
• Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent and high-quality production.
• Keep work area clean and organized and maintain equipment in good working condition.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Assist with other production-related tasks as needed.
