About The Position

Nesco Resource is seeking a candidate for a full-time position as an Assembly Line Worker in South Columbus. The facility is conveniently located near the bus line. The shift times are from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM with overtime opportunities. Must be able to work on Saturdays. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment and promoting safety practices. They will be required to monitor product quality through checks, counting, packaging, and removing defective products. Additionally, they will be responsible for stringing up the line, starting/stopping and running the line, and clearing routine jams. The candidate will also be required to remove, collect, and grind scrap products. They will prepare packaging material and equipment and perform all associated paperwork. Finally, they will assemble finished product units and assist in other areas of the plant as needed.

Requirements

Ability to stand 8 to 12 hrs a day.
Must be able to read a tape measure, add and subtract fractions and be detail oriented.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, and the Ability to adjust focus.
Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Frequently required to walk and climb or balance.

Responsibilities

Ensuring a safe work environment and promoting safety practices.
Monitoring product quality through checks, counting, packaging, and removing defective products.
Stringing up the line, starting/stopping and running the line, and clearing routine jams.
Removing, collecting, and grinding scrap products.
Preparing packaging material and equipment.
Performing all associated paperwork.
Assembling finished product units.
Assisting in other areas of the plant as needed.
Follows up on work assignments from Supervisor.
Ensures that any task performed within the work cell is completed in accordance with the written Standard Operating Procedure(s) for that task.
Records all required data.
Ensures that all material is properly labeled and, placed within proper staging/storage areas.
Identifies any non-conforming product to the Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance Technicians.
Contributes to an ongoing culture of cleanliness and order within the workstation/cell.
Comply with company H&S rules and regulations.
All other duties assigned as required.
Willing to work overtime as required.
