About The Position

The primary function of this position is to manufacture metal components used in garage door production by operating a punch press and related equipment. Employees must ensure accuracy and consistency in each piece while maintaining quality standards and meeting production goals. Attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to safely operate machinery are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • High School or GED required
  • 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred or; an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties as listed above.
  • Maintains a high level of quality to eliminate mistakes.
  • Operate with Passion, Energy and Enthusiasm.
  • Always remain safety conscious.
  • High level of attention to detail and organization.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Able to repeatedly lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to read and interpret orders.
  • Sound judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills in all situations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and written, to ensure a clear understanding of work instructions and safety protocols.
  • Have prompt and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Properly start-up, run and shut-down machines within the department.
  • Operate hand/power tools.
  • Complete die setups and checklists.
  • Manipulate automation programs.
  • Maintain and clean the dies.
  • Complete daily production checklist.
  • Assist in Production or Shipping areas as requested.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
