About The Position

SurfacePrep is hiring a Production Associate - Packaging in Orchard Park, NY. This role is responsible for the final stage of production, including packaging, labeling, and checking finished products before they reach customers. The associate will work with a variety of products, learn about the company's operations, and ensure order accuracy.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Comfort performing basic measurements, counting, and scale checks.
Ability to read work instructions, customer order sheets, safety rules, and procedures.
Dependable attendance, a positive attitude, and a team-first approach.
Manufacturing experience is helpful, but a willingness to learn is most important.
Frequently lift, carry, and position abrasive materials weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Stand, bend, stoop, and reach, including overhead reaching, for extended periods during the shift.
Use hands and fingers frequently for counting, packaging, labeling, and other repetitive tasks.
Work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, adhesives, some chemicals, and moderate noise.
Wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

Package and label abrasive products according to customer order requirements.
Serve as a final quality checkpoint by verifying product quality, quantity, and label accuracy.
Count products and confirm the correct quantity for each order.
Select and assemble the appropriate box or packaging for each product.
Enter information into the computer system to generate product labels.
Coordinate with production employees and leaders to help keep customer orders moving.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Assist with other packaging and production activities as needed.
