The Production Associate II is responsible for packaging and inspecting pharmaceutical products in accordance with packaging instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), while adhering to health and safety requirements. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate line operation, quality output, and cross-team coordination on the production floor. This position will be scheduled to work Wednesday - Friday and every other Saturday, 5:45PM - 6:00AM, and is eligible for a 15% shift premium for overnights and $2/hour shift differential for the 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of manufacturing experience, preferably pharmaceuticals
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; basic mathematical and reasoning ability
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively across departments and with a variety of individuals
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Comfortable working independently, meeting deadlines, and working under pressure with limited supervision
  • Familiarity with cGMP and safe work practices
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear English
  • Visual acuity of 20/30 (corrected)
  • Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, talking, listening, writing, handling, and grasping
  • Occasional climbing of ladders/steps, walking inclines, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, turning, balancing, and carrying
  • Frequent lifting/moving up to 20 lbs; occasional lifting/moving up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Packaging operation experience beneficial
  • Experience performing dimensional evaluations desired
  • Functional testing experience desired

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and direct employee position rotations on the packaging line
  • Assist the Team Lead in coordinating on-the-job training (OJT)
  • Verify material inventory accuracy against paperwork
  • Perform routine maintenance, set-ups, changeovers, and troubleshooting of packaging equipment as necessary
  • Count rejects and inspect product for defects
  • Place packed items in cartons, seal, apply shipper labels, and stack cartons on skid
  • Inform Technicians of any machine problems
  • Maintain cross-training across all lines within the assigned quadrant
  • Maintain effectiveness of Quality System components relevant to the role
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage risk to ensure product quality; communicate risk policies and processes throughout the organization
  • Other duties as assigned
