About The Position
Under routine supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Manufacturing Associate will perform manual labor along a production line. Manufacturing Associate operates and troubleshoots production line machinery and computers. Manufacturing Associate may also perform minor repairs as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, computers, and hand tools
Responsibilities
- Operate production line machinery and computers
- Troubleshoot production machinery
- Perform equipment change-overs
- Responsible for quality control, including the use of measurement tools and making adjustments as necessary to produce within specifications
- Inspect product and reject product outside of specifications
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s)
- Complete daily production logs
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM’s) on production line machinery
- Communicate with operators from other shifts
- Clean and maintain work area
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use
- Assist mechanics and machinists in repair work
- Perform back-up for warehouse
- Provide on-the-job training to new employees
- Order raw materials. Maintain material supply adhering to just in time manufacturing principles.
