Production Associate (Cylinder Filler)
About The Position
Airgas is hiring a Production Associate/Cylinder Filler in Conroe, Texas. The role fills high-pressure industrial, medical, and gas-mixture cylinders using the compression temperature/pressure method. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Benefits begin after 30 days of employment. The position involves safely operating and maintaining equipment used to pump and repackage gases into cylinders; conducting required inspections and tests before and after filling; removing cylinders requiring repair from service until they are corrected; inspecting and maintaining pumping apparatus, pressure gauges, and monitoring devices; filling containers to the correct pressure or weight; and accurately maintaining filling records while following procedures and applicable regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree.
- Routinely lift 25–75 pounds and occasionally lift 76–100 or more pounds.
- Work during prolonged standing, up to 8 hours, and frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion.
- Have valid U.S. employment authorization and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Ability to read and comprehend written and computer-generated documents and communications.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain equipment used to pump and repackage gases into cylinders.
- Conduct required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before releasing cylinders.
- Ensure proper cylinder maintenance and remove cylinders requiring repair from service until corrected.
- Regularly inspect and maintain pumping apparatus, pressure gauges, and monitoring devices.
- Fill cylinders or containers to the correct pressure or weight.
- Accurately maintain cylinder-filling records and follow required procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.
