About The Position

Operates machines and production equipment independently in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment and may instruct or coach others. We are looking for a talented Production Associate - Sub Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in (Commerce City, CO (Henderson)). Will make an impact in the following ways: Assemble High Horsepower (HHP) engines from long block status to complete running engines Utilize hand tools, precision measuring devices, torque tools, cranes, and engine-specific tooling throughout the build process Operate manufacturing equipment and meet production, quality, and safety standards Perform quality inspections and accurately document the build process using paperwork Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, and manufacturing processes Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in identifying equipment requiring repair Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Significant manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or engine-building experience
  • Advanced knowledge of engine products
  • Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, torque tools, and overhead cranes
  • Experience reading and following work instructions, build documentation, and engineering standards
  • Ability to accurately document work and maintain production records
  • Working knowledge of computer systems including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and other manufacturing-related software
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, handle large components, and stand for extended periods
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • High Horsepower engine experience is a plus
  • Experience with High Horsepower Engines would be a plus
