About The Position

The Production Associate 2 (Welder) operates welding equipment to fabricate and assemble window frames. The role involves working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, repetitive manufacturing environment, including heavy lifting and hands-on work. The associate may also use hand tools to construct window units, inspect finished products, and help maintain production quality, safety, and efficiency. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Starting pay is $17.75–$24.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for the entire shift.
Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32 inch.
Ability to perform arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to convert fractions to decimals.
Ability to read and understand workflow schedules and written instructions.
Ability to use computerized equipment.
Ability to recognize parts by shape and color.

Nice To Haves

One to three years of experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate hand tools to manually construct window units.
Set up welding equipment and select appropriate materials based on specifications.
Operate welding machines and use welding techniques to fabricate and assemble window frames.
Produce high-quality welds that meet production standards.
Measure and align components accurately during welding.
Perform quality inspections and audits, and participate in problem-solving to resolve issues.
Inspect finished products and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations, including 5S, PPE, and LOTO.
Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.
Cross-train and rotate among workstations within the line or complex.
Move production carts.
