Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Five plus years of experience in plant operations, maintenance or technical departments or equivalent.
  • Requires proficient use of personal computers, Microsoft Office software, including Microsoft Access, and database systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret such documents as operating and maintenance instructions, production data, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must have a sound grasp of basic math skills for calculations and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Normal office functions with manual dexterity for typing, filing, and general office work.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs.
  • Walking, bending, stooping is required.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with SAP or equivalent computerized inventory management software is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and maintains files for the production units including critical items checklists, safety checks, operator round sheets, ISO records, production reports, operating logs, etc.
  • All the daily paperwork management, filing systems and record retention.
  • Reviews daily production, efficiency, and raw material usage reports and reconciles month-end reports.
  • Performs all administrative functions for the supervisors, superintendent, and manager of the department.
  • Prepares production volumes, raw material usages, internal consumptions, and operating material usages for monthly financial closings.
  • Input’s all Geismar’s production SAP data as Core User and completes month end functions in SAP system including all production posting, consumption adjustments, sales orders issuing, stock transports, and pipeline raw material receipts.
  • Maintain files and records associated with the operating units and quarterly monthly planned inspection reports.
  • Prepares and updates production departments charts and data for unit monthly reports.
  • Updates unit files and inputs information for unit key measure charts monthly.
  • Establishes, submits, and maintains data, reports, and records for all products manufactured, shipped, and inventoried.
  • Charts production, based on established key performance measures, for reference by production and management personnel.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues within the SAP system.
  • Updates and maintains computer database systems related to production systems.
  • Maintain the SOX calibration status file.
  • Prepare requisitions in SAP for production units.
  • Manage office supplies for the production units.
  • Maintain the production unit home pages on SharePoint.
  • Complete and maintain DOT qualification for shipping hazardous materials.
  • Supports and fulfills the requirements of the plant’s ISO Quality System.
