About The Position

The Production Assistant will provide high-level administrative and editorial support to all areas of the newsroom. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following duties.

Requirements

Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Basic knowledge of newsroom functions
Familiarity with digital editing platforms such as iNews.
Strong social media skills.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under daily pressure and successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.
One (1) year of administrative support experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Radio/TV, or related discipline preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcasting or Radio/TV/Film is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with Producers to view, log, and cue tapes for preview show/event elements.
Assist Producers in production of features, teases, and previews of shows and segments.
Collaborate with the assignment desk, original programming, digital, and other areas within the news department on various initiatives
Liaise with teams and departments throughout the station to successfully execute shows and segments.
Manage complex calendars, schedules, and show activities.
Assist with station’s presence on social media.
Demonstrate responsibility for all equipment issued by FOX.
Comply with all FOX Corporate computer requirements.
Comply with all FOX Corporate and station policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
