About The Position

Our Commissary Kitchen team is responsible for the preparation and production of high-quality food items that support multiple Sahm’s locations. This role focuses less on line cooking and more on batch prep, organization, consistency, and production efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the kitchen and leadership team.
  • At least 18 years of age preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous kitchen prep, commissary, catering, bakery, or food production experience.
  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Experience working with batch recipes or high-volume food preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing large batches of food items according to company recipes and production standards.
  • Portioning, labeling, packaging, and organizing prepared food products for distribution.
  • Maintaining food quality, consistency, and freshness standards across all production items.
  • Assisting with inventory organization, stock rotation, and ingredient prep.
  • Operating kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, prep stations, and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment while following all food safety procedures.
  • Supporting the kitchen team with daily production goals and timelines.
  • Assisting with receiving deliveries and organizing storage areas including coolers and dry storage.
