About The Position

Touchstone Brewing Company is looking to hire an Assistant Brewer/Production Assistant. The production assistant will work side by side with all production team members in most facets of the brewhouse and cellar operations including packaging, cleaning and maintenance, and record keeping.

Requirements

• Understanding fermentation science and other elements of brewing, and a willingness/desire to learn more
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Passion for craft beer
• Effective time management, organization, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification preferred but not mandatory, (we can train)
• Experience working in a brewpub, production brewery, or similar manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
• Degree in Fermentation Sciences or completion of brewery science program great but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality and temperature of fermenting beers
• Cleaning and maintenance
• Preventive maintenance
• Receive raw materials
• Perform quality control and assurance testing.
• Represent TBC at Festivals and events
• Cooperage management
• Willingness to pitch in on duties outside of your key responsibilities.
• Draught system maintenance in tavern
