About The Position
SEEDWAY, LLC is a full-line seed company providing high quality, high-performing farm seed products as well as lawn and turf products throughout Pennsylvania, New York, New England states, Florida, and South Carolina. We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada. We are looking for a dedicated Production Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling the production of products sold in bulk and bulk packs.
Requirements
- Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and one or more years of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of professional communication skills, inventory management and mechanics
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Must be able to lift 50-70 lbs as needed.
- Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Responsibilities
- Schedules production for Veg Retail programs
- Assists with production of commercial products
- Assists when needed with order shipments including the Canadian and international process
- Utilize E1 computer system daily
- General office duties
- Entering and closing work orders
- Making labels for packaged product as well as germination stickers
