About The Position

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Production Assembler - 1st Shift. The company is a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments. The Production Assembler - 1st Shift role offers a full-time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime. Hours: 5:00 AM - 1:45 PM. Full benefits and a 401(k) plan are offered on day one of employment. The hourly rate for this position is $23.40 per hour. Please note: The salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in production, packaging, or construction.
  • Previous experience with standard operating procedures.
  • Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance, and/or repair.
  • Basic working knowledge of and experience with computers.
  • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures, wiring diagrams, and bills of material.
  • Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime, with willingness to flex/train in different areas as needed.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 40 lbs.
  • Ability to use a crane once fully trained to lift items.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
  • Ability to use hand tools and other machines to manipulate metal and/or wire.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies.
  • Use cranes to pick up and move transformers and materials.
  • Be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly.
  • Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools, and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring during the assembly of Power Distribution Units.
  • Work with sheet metal to build transformer legs and additional components related to transformer assembly.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and make necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals.
  • Adhere to company, environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations.
  • Provide process and safety improvement ideas.
  • Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+.
