Requirements

  • 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read instructions, safely operate machines and visually inspect components and sub-assemblies being produced.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Accuracy and timeliness in completion of work assignments is a must.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis.
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.
  • Limited understanding of PLC, VFD and Circuit Breakers.
  • Understand and know the differences between NEMA ratings of enclosures.
  • Knowledgeable of identifying wire gauges, colors and understanding ampacities.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to effectively use a tape-measure, perform simple mathematics.
  • Basic understanding of schematics, mechanical assembly, and electrical assembly.
  • Frequent lifting, standing, bending & reaching required
  • Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
  • Must adhere to all the PPE requirements to perform the job safely, this includes but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, and Feet.
  • Ability to work in a team environment while collaborating, troubleshooting and problem solving with coworkers.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products using hand and power tools to position, align, and fasten parts and units into assemblies, subassemblies, or frame.
  • Install wire labels and device tags and work with different styles.
  • Review and understand job orders and interact with Epicor, by properly badging in and out of active job orders on the production floor.
  • Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) which are necessary to safely and properly operate the equipment and tools required to assemble the product.
  • Check completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
