About The Position

This role involves operating basic equipment and machines, carrying out routine tasks by following strict, detailed instructions and established processes within given settings or parameters. The position supports the quality function by adhering to strict quality standards and following basic mandatory work instructions, including the use of personal protective equipment, to ensure environmental safety and the well-being of oneself and others. The role requires working according to an assigned schedule, participating in assessment and development planning, and engaging in formal and informal training and coaching to develop and maintain excellent skills. The individual will operate with a clear sense of responsibility, learning and adhering to policies, procedures, and work requirements, ensuring work is done properly, communicating status, and addressing errors. Teamwork is essential, contributing actively to group efforts, seeking others' input, appreciating contributions, and offering help. The role demands consistent achievement of results, even under tough circumstances, and a firm grasp of organizational culture and politics, connecting with key stakeholders and knowing when to escalate issues. Communication skills involve using clear and effective elementary verbal communication under supervision to express ideas, request actions, and formulate plans. The role also involves optimizing the utilization of production plant, equipment, and materials at an elementary level under supervision, and employing a systematic process for solving technical issues by identifying problems and selecting appropriate solutions under close supervision. Additionally, the role requires identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and managing risks in a production process at an elementary level, under supervision.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Prolonged standing for 8/10/12 hours, dependent on work schedule.
  • Frequent walking/bending/stooping/squatting.
  • Frequent reaching/pushing/pulling away from body.
  • Frequent pushing with minimal or maximum force to maneuver the glass down the production line on rollers.
  • Lift, move or carry up to 90lbs.
  • Frequent repetitive hand/foot/head/neck movements required.
  • Steel-toe safety shoes, ear and eye protection required always in all plants.
  • Additional personal protective equipment may be required.
