About The Position
Ryan Lawn & Tree is a growing company in the lawn and tree care industry, seeking a driven Production Arborist. The ideal candidate will operate small-engine equipment, communicate professionally with clients, and adhere to all safety protocols.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Production Arborist or in comparable tree care/climbing role
- Strong physical capability, including the ability to lift 50 lbs. and walk 3+ miles per day
- Comfort and respect for working at heights; ability to climb and work aloft
- Ability to push and pull objects over extended distances
- Ability to work effectively in all weather conditions
- A self-starter mindset and commitment to team collaboration and workplace safety
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to obtain DOT certification and pass a background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the Springfield area
Nice To Haves
- A background in forestry or a related field is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Execute pruning and tree work on client properties across the Springfield area, including tree pruning and removal, shrub pruning, mulch installation, and stump grinding
- Take initiative and ownership of daily routes, equipment, and quality of work
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment while also working independently with efficiency
- Operate small-engine equipment safely and proficiently, including chainsaws, shears, and string trimmers
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding service expectations, processes, and timelines
- Adhere to all safety protocols while working aloft and on the ground
