About The Position

We are looking for a full-time, experienced and self-motivated Production and Warehouse Supervisor to join our Operations Team in Troy Michigan. This position leads our warehouse and production operations ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely manufacture and shipment of products. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role supervises personnel, manages inventory and material flow, monitors production performance, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or one year certificate from college or technical school particularly in a mechanical or technical field; and 2 to 3 years of distribution supervision related to increasing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • No less than 2 years of experience leading others successfully.
  • Experience in inventory management and production operations.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical training preferred, particularly in a mechanical or technical field.
  • Exposure to production equipment, automation, or maintenance environments is a plus.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification, is a plus.
  • Project Management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Ability to train and share expertise with others.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Reinforces Safety as number one priority within team, performs daily safety walks, leads daily safety conversations, reports incidents and leads safety investigations.
  • Supervise daily warehouse and production activities.
  • Leads and coordinates employees across warehouse, assembly, packaging, and material handling functions.
  • Ensures production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitors workflow and allocates resources to maximize productivity.
  • Conducts daily production and warehouse meetings.
  • Tracks operational metrics and implements corrective actions when needed.
  • Trains, coaches, and develop warehouse and production employees.
  • Conducts performance reviews and provides ongoing feedback.
  • Manages attendance, scheduling, and workforce planning.
  • Fosters accountability, teamwork, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversees receiving, inventory control, storage, and shipping operations.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy through cycle counting and inventory management practices.
  • Ensures efficient material flow from receiving through production and shipment.
  • Coordinates warehouse staffing and workload priorities.
  • Monitors production output, efficiency, scrap, and labor utilization.
  • Ensures adherence to standard operating procedures and quality requirements.
  • Identifies bottlenecks and implements improvements to increase throughput.
  • Supports new product introductions and process changes.
  • Ensures equipment and workstations are properly maintained.
  • Participates in production activities as required.
  • Assists in basic troubleshooting and coordination of maintenance activities for production and automation equipment as needed.
  • Tracks relevant department process information to help identify problems and opportunities.
  • Leads root cause analysis investigations to resolve issues.
  • Leads continuous improvement projects to ensure achievement of department goals and productivity.
  • Works with other departments to test and implement process changes for new products or customer requirements.
  • Ensures Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are discussed, analyzed, and keeps them updated.
  • Works as one team with other Operations Supervisors on large-volume customer orders, which sometimes requires unique processes to successfully accomplish the task.
  • Suggests and creates teambuilding strategies with HR support.

Benefits

  • The yearly salary range for this position is $59,000 - $62,000. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, certification requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of the offer.
