About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Production and Inventory Coordinator to join BSC Flightline 1st Shift Fulfillment Team located in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable shift. This role involves processing and moving production and other materials into and out of storage, production, and other locations to support the flow of production following standard work instructions. The coordinator will monitor work in process, communicate the status of parts and materials using automated systems and manual reporting methods to ensure parts availability, and identify and solve problems or discrepancies of limited scope with parts and materials using established procedures or processes. They will coordinate with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays, and operate and move large equipment. This role requires working outdoors during all seasons and works under general supervision.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in the materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment
• 1+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing
• Able to work 12-hour shifts Friday, Saturday and Sunday
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds frequently
• Ability to walk, stand, climb and descend stairs, bend and lift items, package materials and unload materials from containers frequently throughout the shift
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• 1+ years of Warehouse experience packaging and crating
• 1+ years of experience in Inventory Management

• 1+ years of experience working in CMES systems/BESSY/Crib Masters/KITS
• 1+ years of experience with the ERPLN application
• 1+ years of experience using lean manufacturing principles
• 1+ years of experience operating a Forklift
• 1+ years of experience in shipping and receiving
• 1+ years of experience working in cold room

Responsibilities

• Processes and moves production and other materials into and out of storage, production and other locations to support complex production and product support activities, flight test, etc
• Monitors and analyzes work in process
• Updates status of parts and materials using automated systems
• Identifies and reports problems and recommendations to ensure parts availability
• Analyzes problems and resolves or reconciles discrepancies with parts and materials to maintain inventory and system accuracy
• Coordinates with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays
• Operates multiple types of heavy equipment
• Relocates various tools throughout the site
• Works under limited supervision
