About The Position

The Production and Facilities Operations Director (Director of Realization) is responsible for leading all manufacturing, fulfillment, vendor management, and facilities operations for OCP, ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production and delivery of all finished goods and materials, whether produced in-house or outsourced. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for the Realization Division, aligning production and logistical capabilities with organizational goals, customer expectations, and market conditions. The Director develops and executes long-range plans and quarterly priorities, contributes to product and operational strategy, and ensures that systems, processes, and partnerships are optimized for scalability, quality, and efficiency. The Director also oversees the management of OCP’s physical work environments, ensuring safe, compliant, and well-maintained facilities that support business operations and employee experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum ten year’s experience managing production and operational departments such as logistics, fulfillment, prepress, printing, mailing, and production management.
  • At least eight years of experience managing vendor and supplier relationships. Emphasis on negotiating and contract management.
  • At least five years of experience managing, leading and mentoring other department managers.
  • Demonstrated experience directing outsourced operational functions and managing contracted service providers.
  • Expertise in use of MS office software, including Excel, Teams and other computer software needed for data analysis and daily tasks.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining sustainable safety and continuous improvement programs.
  • Proven track record in budgeting, cost management, analysis and reporting
  • Proven negotiation skills in excess of $10M
  • Ability to operate independently, lead others and participate collaboratively on teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with emphasis on short and long-range operational and strategic planning.
  • Understanding of how to develop and implement business strategies
  • Able to supervise staff of middle management and support staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in use of BI tools for analyzing vendor performance, invoices, etc.
  • Hands-on capabilities of building maintenance, ability to do minor repairs or triage if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Owns and is accountable for the annual operating and capital budgets for the Realization Division, including graphic support services, manufacturing, facilities, fulfillment, and shipping; monitors performance and implements corrective actions to meet financial targets.
  • Leads the development and execution of division-wide strategic plans, quarterly priorities, and operational roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives; translates company goals into actionable department plans.
  • Serves as a key member of the Shared Services Leaders team, contributing operational expertise to company planning, playbook development, and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Directs all manufacturing and fulfillment operations (in-house and outsourced) to ensure products meet quality standards, production timelines, and customer delivery expectations.
  • Establishes and maintains scalable systems, processes, and performance metrics across manufacturing, inventory management, warehousing, and order fulfillment to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and cost control.
  • Leads vendor management strategy, including sourcing, qualification, contract negotiation, and performance management; ensures service level agreements are met and continuously improved.
  • Negotiates pricing, contracts, and timelines with external partners to achieve optimal balance of cost, quality, and speed across production and facility-related services.
  • Monitors market conditions and industry trends (e.g., print, raw materials, logistics) to proactively identify risks, cost pressures, and opportunities; advises leadership on impacts and recommended actions.
  • Oversees facilities operations for company headquarters and studio locations, ensuring safe, compliant, functional, and welcoming environments for employees and visitors.
  • Develops and enforces quality standards, operational procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of responsibility to enhance performance and reduce waste.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing models and organizational structure to support operational demands while managing labor costs and driving team effectiveness.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and performance management for direct reports and their teams; builds a high-performing, engaged, and accountable organization.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies; partners with HR and Legal as needed to mitigate risk.
  • Sponsors and leads cross-functional initiatives and major projects aligned with OCP’s strategic priorities and approved project portfolio.
  • Recruit, select, orient and train new employees, as applicable
  • Provide leadership and effective performance management for each direct report: Set goals and communicate performance expectations for direct reports
  • Schedule and maintain weekly or bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with each direct report to connect with, support, guide, get status updates, provide feedback and identify employee needs
  • Provide real-time feedback and document progress, achievements and concerns
  • Complete scheduled performance appraisals for each direct report by due date
  • Provide appropriate training and development opportunities
  • Approve time off requests in HRIS system and work with HR to appropriately handle protected leave
  • Approve timecards for non-exempt direct reports, if applicable, prior to bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policy (including enforcing state-mandated rest break and meal period requirements for non-exempt direct reports)
  • Manage budget as assigned

  • Leads and is accountable for the company’s safety initiatives, and co-owns the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Program, working across the enterprise to ensure operational resilience.
