About The Position

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced product and visual designers with strong expertise in layout, typography, colour, visual hierarchy, interface design, and polished digital experiences. This role supports remote design evaluation and creative review work requiring clear, well-supported aesthetic judgment. Selected professionals will assess visual quality, identify design weaknesses, explain improvement opportunities, and apply practical experience from high-quality technology products, digital platforms, or established design agencies.

Requirements

At least 4 years of hands-on professional experience in product design, visual design, UI design, or a closely related field
Experience working at a recognised technology company, digital product organisation, or established design agency
A strong professional portfolio demonstrating polished and commercially relevant design work
Deep understanding of layout, typography, colour, visual hierarchy, composition, and interface refinement
Ability to make clear, well-supported aesthetic judgments
Strong attention to detail and sensitivity to visual inconsistencies
Professional English fluency and excellent written communication skills
Applicants must provide a strong professional portfolio for review
Professional English fluency is required

Nice To Haves

A degree in graphic design, visual communication, interaction design, product design, digital media, or a related field is helpful
Formal training in typography, composition, colour theory, interface design, or design systems is highly relevant
Equivalent professional experience supported by a strong portfolio may also be considered
Continued professional development in digital product design or visual systems may be valuable
Experience designing or reviewing consumer technology products, SaaS platforms, websites, or mobile applications
Background in design systems, component libraries, or cross-platform interface consistency
Familiarity with Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or comparable professional design tools
Experience presenting design rationale to senior stakeholders, clients, or multidisciplinary teams
Knowledge of accessibility, responsive design, and usability principles
Experience mentoring designers, leading critiques, or setting visual quality standards
Previous involvement in structured content evaluation, design benchmarking, or AI-assisted creative workflows

Responsibilities

Review digital designs for layout, typography, colour, spacing, hierarchy, consistency, and overall polish
Assess whether visual decisions support clarity, usability, brand alignment, and communication goals
Identify design issues that reduce quality, coherence, accessibility, or user understanding
Compare alternative design approaches and determine which solution performs more effectively
Evaluate product interfaces, visual systems, components, and end-to-end user experiences
Review consistency across screens, interaction states, responsive layouts, and reusable design patterns
Assess whether designs balance aesthetic quality with practical product requirements
Provide recommendations grounded in established product and visual design principles
Explain aesthetic judgments clearly using professional design terminology
Provide specific and actionable feedback rather than general subjective preferences
Justify recommendations relating to composition, typography, colour, hierarchy, balance, and refinement
Communicate complex visual decisions clearly to creative and non-creative stakeholders
Apply consistent evaluation standards across repeated design assignments
Collaborate with other design specialists to align on quality expectations
Incorporate feedback and calibration guidance into future reviews
Maintain a high standard of accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail
